Scholarships and Grants
It was the goal of the individuals who founded the Tolland County Agricultural Center, Inc. in 1956, to provide an oasis in Tolland County that focused on agriculture, family, and homemaking. Since then, many things have changed. However, the one thing that has remained the same is the desire to continue to provide a place where education in agricultural programs and family and consumer sciences are made available to all.

In 2007 the Tolland County Agricultural Center, Inc. Board of Trustees expanded this goal further by establishing a scholarship fund now known as the Memorial Scholarship Fund.

This fund provides scholarships for Tolland County students who are planning to further their education in agricultural, family & consumer sciences, or technical education fields. The 2007 budget allocated $500.00, and each of the members pledged $50.00 to the scholarship fund.
Now, annually, the Tolland County Agricultural Center offers one or more scholarships to Tolland County graduating high school seniors, students who are already enrolled in college, or continuing education students. The application is due in April each year. Once submitted, the candidates’ applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the Board of Trustees to determine which student best represents the mission of Tolland County Agricultural Center.

A great foundation has been established for this fund and with your help, we can continue to support our youth in the field of agriculture so, that we continue to enjoy the benefits of agriculture in the future. We would like to thank all those who have donated in the past, and continue to donate to our scholarship fund. If you would like to contribute to the Tolland County Agricultural Center Scholarship fund you may do so by submitting the Scholarship Contribution form. We are a 501c (3) non-profit organization.
